Aron is an expert on materials theory and simulation, in particular for clean energy conversion and storage technologies. He has a deep interest in understanding and controlling defects and disorder in quantum matter. Aron is a member of the Thomas Young Centre in London, an Associate Editor for Journal of the American Chemical Society, and is a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher. He is a strong supporter of Europe-Korea scientific collaboration, through joint workshops, researcher exchanges, and visiting lectures.
